Acastus Knight Porphyrion

Circumstances have forced me to work on my Knights of house Makabius again.  The driver for this is the new heavy knight.  It is a massive heavy beautiful kit, that has so many cleaver design cues, it really ties the lineage of Titans and knight firmly together.

I am gluing the legs with JB weld due to the weight.

What do you think about this kit? Are you getting one?

The long hobby war contiunes...

  1. I love this Knight, glad to see you've got one for me to watch come together!

I'm very tempted to start rebuilding House Astorum...

    1. Why not build another knight house, Vyronii look smashing and the transfers are out next year. Also, Look at it as an investment. You made money off the last lot? ;)

  5. Hey dude I got one too, even the smaller one that was previewed at the start of the year had me putting away money for it and though I strayed from the savings plan when they showed the update, I sold a half built Warhound I was doing up for my Legion.

It's taking a while to get here unfortunately but I ordered the big lad release day and it shipped Sat, I'm hoping to get it Tuesday this week and get straight into it.

Decals are a stickler for me as I want to finish the knight at once and I need the decals under the weathering so I am also going with Makabius and got the FW transfer sheet at the same time. Not sure how I'm planning to do the breakdown of blue/off-white split colour panels yet on such a heavily armour plated model and I want to incorporate a bit of a tie in colour to my SoH as well to show it's allegiance.

Gonna keep an eye on how yours is going, I'll race you to the finish ;)

    1. Hi red scorps, just be very careful on the legs. I haven't gone for a massively extreme pose, but I've had to cut down armour to fit! It shouldn't look too bad, but it's annoying.

Will be good to see another one in Makabius colours!

I'm not racing on this... unless I win ;)
